本次视觉艺术课堂,我们通过【陶瓷】与视觉艺术建立对话。相信每一块陶瓷碎片拼凑出的世界,会让我们更相信脚下的泥土,并借此抵达更远处。

Using Hands to Sculpt

When children are given clay, they begin to explore their imaginations and ways they can design something into a work of art. Throughout Concordia, Visual Arts plays an important role in allowing students to learn new skills and enhance their cognitive ability. Let's take a look at the art of ceramics inthe eyes and hands of children.


当孩子们拿到粘土时,他们就开始发挥自己的想象力与创造力,用自己的方式将这些天马行空的想法具象化,设计成完整的艺术作品。在协和,视觉艺术课堂在学生学习新技能与提高认知能力方面发挥着重要作用。一起来看看孩子们眼里和手中的陶瓷艺术吧。

In a child's early years, they learn the basic skills of creating and designing their own three-dimensional pinch bowl by using their hands and fingers to sculpt.


托班的孩子们通过用手掌和手指去实操,学习、创造和设计三维捏塑碗的基本技能。

After the clay is completely dry, colours of glaze is applied to their pinch bowl.


等粘土完全干燥后,他们用陶瓷釉料为夹层碗增添风采。

The glazed covered sculptures are then sent to a kiln and transform into something shiny and colourful.


上了釉的粘土雕塑被送入窑中烧制后,就变成了闪闪发光、色彩斑斓的精美艺术品。

Creat a Clay Sculpture

As children enter K1, K2 and K3 their coordination skills develop stronger through prior learning and new skills learned. Through visual observation and a teacher demonstration, students can develop a better understanding how to create a clay sculpture.


当孩子们进入K1、K2和K3阶段,他们的协调能力在以往知识的积累与新技能的加持下变得更强。在视觉艺术老师的示范下,学生们更直观清晰地理解了创造一个粘土雕塑的过程。

In grade one through four, students learned how to use their prior learning to design a house sculpture through sculpting techniques. Through the design thinking process, they developed a better understanding how create a three-dimensional clay house sculpture. Putting together the pieces of a house canbecome a challenge, especially holding the components together through scoring and slipping techniques.


一年级到四年级阶段的学生,利用之前所学的知识,通过雕刻技术来设计一个房屋雕塑。通过设计思维课程的学习,他们懂得如何创造一个三维的粘土房子雕塑。在实践过程中,把房子的碎片拼起来是一个很大的挑战,特别是通过划线和滑动技术把各个零部件固定在一起。

Artwork Presentation

Each clay house sculpture is unique, created and designed by the imaginitive minds of young students.


在协和,每个孩子都是独立的个体,而每个粘土房子雕塑都展现了学生独一无二的想象力与创造力。

After the glazing process, students three-dimensional clay houses are fired in the kiln transforming into a beautiful ceramic piece of artwork.


上釉之后,把三维粘土房子放入窑中烧制,一件件栩栩如生又充满童趣的陶瓷艺术品就呈现在我们眼前。

Ceramics at Concordia gives students the opportunity to develop new skills in creating and designing various three-dimensional clay sculpture. They can express themselves freely, allowing them to use their creativity with no limitations. 


When a child designs a sculpture with their hands, they bring to life an object formed through pure imagination.


协和的陶艺课程让学生在创造和设计三维粘土雕塑方面掌握新的技能。他们通过自由的表达不受限地发挥自己的创造力,同时陶冶情操和提升艺术感知力。


在用手设计雕塑时,孩子们眼里的想象力也被投射到现实中,于是一片片陶瓷就汇聚成美好的艺术世界。
